Why a dragonfly?

The dragonfly, in almost every part of the world symbolizes change and change in the perspective of self realization; and the kind of change that has its source in mental and emotional maturity and the understanding of the deeper meaning of life.

A dragonfly symbolises wisdom, change, transformation, light and adaptability in life.

The dragonfly is considered the symbol of transformation because it begins its life in the water where it is born and will continue to grow there , but then they move into the air and learn to fly. Dragonflies possess incredible flight patterns and are able to change their direction of flight quickly without much effort. They look effortless as they glide and fly through the air. This is meant to inspire and motivate people to be flexible and adaptable in what life throws them.

The dragonfly is a creature of water, and every creature that dwells in water symbolises the subconscious mind and deeper thoughts. For this very reason dragonflies are said to remind us to pay heed to our dreams and desires, because our outlook towards life is not only influenced by the external environment around us, but also our deepest thoughts.
